The greatest, most powerful, fastest racehorse in the world could easily lose
to a long-shot if the conditions are wrong, or if he isn't feeling in tip-top
form. Maybe the track is cool and dry, and he is at his best when it's muddy.
Maybe he's feeling a little sore or a little tired. Maybe the jockey doesn't u
nderstand him. Maybe the saddle doesn't fit quite right. You may not have done
as well as you expected with a recent effort, but that doesn't mean you weren
't (and aren't) the best person for the job. Keep trying. You will get it righ
t.
