來自兩種說法，一最常見是來自保齡球XD
早期的保齡球瓶比較短又比較粗，暱稱ducks. 而在自動排瓶機發明之前，
在新的一球開始前，這些duck pins須以手動的方式排列好。 (也太累了吧XD
所以用來譬喻在新的事物開始前，一切準備就緒，所有要素和細節都在該在的位置上

第二種說法就是來自真的鴨子，母鴨在開始行動或下水前會把小鴨排好成列，
這樣如果中途有走失、落單或逃跑的小鴨，就會比較容易被注意到 (真的嗎XD
總之，也是在一件新事物的開始前，先排列組織好的一個概念。
