Fairy tales often begin with the words, "Once upon a time." From the very
beginning, these stories are enchanting and filled with hope and magic. We
often idealize certain experiences in life and expect them to be fairy-
tale like. Romantic relationships... dreams we strive for - these are some
of the occurrences that we expect to be ideal. You may have thought that a
current experience of yours was going to be far more perfect than it has
turned out to be, and the reality may be disappointing. But you still have
the potential to achieve the outcome you are dreaming of - even if it
doesn't happen in exactly the way you imagined.
